Here’s the second page that I created for the Zetti Mixed Media Chunky Book swap on www.illustratedatcs.com. My charge was to create a vintage fairy and incorporate chunkiness and Zetti elements.

I’m still learning about Zetti and Chunky Books. For the Zetti portion, I used the black and white “striped” borders on the wings and hat. It’s also common for Zetti creations to include hats.

We were required to include at least three types of materials. I incorporated scrapbook paper for the background, hand-drawn winges and hat, vintage phote, fabric for the dress and some super cute pink plaid fabric (peeking out on the right hand side). I also used three types of ribbon and some pleather cord.

I might add a few more things – some beads or wire?

Artist’s Choice Zetti Page for WhiteMoth

am quickly developing an addiction for creating these 4×4 chunky page. This is a new trader art endeavor for me. This piece is for a Zetti Mixed Media Chunky Book swap on www.illustratedatcs.com.

Original Youth, our clever host, is requiring at least 3 different types of media: papers, ephemera, paints, fibers, stitching, glazes, glitter, buttons, charms, etc.

I’ve managed to exceed this requirement by using a vintage photo, ink, prismacolor markers, acrylic paint, colored pencil and ribbon. Even so, I feel like this is a little sparse in comparison to most chunky books.

I tend to have a cleaner style when I approach these creations. I’m hoping I can find a better balance between chunky and my style as I create the remaining pages.

This page is for WhiteMoth. She has been a great supporter of my work and always offers lots of encouragement and kind words. I always love making art for her!!
